A new and sustainable office in a prime location in Genk gives us and Hillewaere Verzekeringen even more clout in the region. We have just opened the doors of this strategic new base at Jaarbeurslaan 29, bus 1B. ‘The building fits in perfectly with our growth story of focusing on innovation and is easily accessible for customers,’ says our office manager Ann Steegmans. This also allows us to deliver on the promises we made when we announced the acquisition.
Hillewaere Insurance Genk is moving to Jaarbeurslaan, a strategic location that houses several companies. Since 2021, we have been operating in Genk with Hillewaere Insurance following the acquisition of Duwel & Partners, which was previously located on Pastoor Raymaekerstraat under that name. The building has been designed with sustainability in mind, featuring energy-efficient systems and plenty of natural light, which contributes to a healthy working environment for employees. The branch will now come under the wing of our Hasselt office, helping to expand the regional hub in Limburg.
Since the integration within our Hillewaere Group, the regional offices have been able to function much more as one large group and share expertise with each other. This means that the employees at the Genk and Hasselt offices continue to work in a “hybrid” manner, but can always fall back on the back office at the national headquarters in Turnhout. Both Limburg teams will work under the leadership of Jurgen Nelissen and Ann Steegmans.

Our Genk office focuses on both private clients and businesses. It offers a wide range of insurance products, supported by an experienced team with a variety of expertise. To expand this expertise, we are also looking for new employees for our office. On the one hand, by promoting employees internally from within the larger Hillewaere Insurance Group, but also by giving new recruits the opportunity to develop as Hillewaere employees in the insurance sector.

This growth requires a strategic base. Jaarbeurslaan runs straight to the centre of Genk, but is located just outside the hustle and bustle. This means that, as a client, you are assured of parking facilities. The new office is close to the Limburghal and the Hasseltweg, which connects Hasselt and Genk. The E314 is also less than a 10-minute drive away.
